I live in bexleyheath if anyone knows where that is, about 15 mins away from Dartford where are the nearest tracks to have a tear around in my car and how much will it cost.

Ok lol i only have a 1.2 Corsa B but can someone be kind enough to list the things which i could do in order to compete with standard 1.3/1.4s if thats possible, i can only really think of:
*Air Filter (which gives the best performance under £80)
*Exhaust (Best performance under £150)
*Tyres maybe???
*Weight Lost, where is the best way to start e.g light weigh battery????

any help will be Great Many thanks
Tom

Being completely honest and diplomatic, change the car.

a 1.2 8v is just going to be a slow moving chicane on a track to be honest :/

I wouldnt bother spending anything on that engine as its never going to be that fast at all.

Either trade for something that lends itself to being on track, or start making the car handle and stop, before fitting a bigger engine to it.

From past experience..... get rif of the corsa. There are much better cars for taking on track, more parts available for them too.

In regards to the closest track to you, it's Brands Hatch.

un-sprung weight makes the most difference i.e. wheels are brakes

If your really up for developing the car, my best suggestion would be put in a 1.6 8v (c or e16se) which will fit in with yout mounts, use the same gearbox etc

then get a set of ate 16b 256mm brakes, strip the interiour and get a decent fixed rate suspension kit like koni or bilstien

will be quick enough to learn then

your most local track will be brands hatch, evening trackday is around £70, or Lydd, which will be cheaper
