Good day to you all!

Right the corsa Im looking at buying is modified (irmscher bits, steinmetz, and some other bits and bobs)

Main problem is Im 17

Are there any 'niche' companies I could try ringing for a quote?

Already tried Adrian Flux(2600), and been on confused.com (2090 from Ecar)

The word modified turns you into a punchbag from the insurance companies point of view. You will be lucky at 17 to get a quote (especially around Nottingham unless you live in a low crime area) less than £1800, and that will be TPFT

Depending what it is, you could always not tell them about it.
Could say you didnt know it was modified as it was like that when you bought it

Car is easy to tell its modified straight off, and not telling them about something is illegal and could invalidate your insurance!

Aslong as there's no performance enhancing mods or big body kits i would just insure it as standard.

You'll be going 3rd party anyway to keep the price down id imagine?

When any of my mates crash when they are racing around the backroads like idiots and they have alloys on there cars that are not declared they get somebody to bring down a set of deflated steelies and fit them before they ring the police. there fore they are fully covered - so long as the steelies are a bit bashed up...

Only optional bodykit and alloys, rest of stuff is mainly other vaux bits.

Although, if I get some sort of imobiliser/alarm, that may help bring it down

For the amount it would cost to buy and install an alarm its unlikely it will be economical (i.e. wont bring your insurance down by as much as you pay for the alarm)

Can you not just buy a standard car?
