Not much of an update, but...

Started to clean the bay & put the manifold heat shield on (not screwed in properly yet before you say)

Will finish off cleaning it tomorrow, and going to spray the top crash bar after sanding it down etc.

Waiting for carbon spark plug cover and cambelt cover now

Is that a RooseMotorsport hose? What is the size of the hose at the induction kit end of it?

I don't get it? are they real carbon? or just plastic covered in carbon? No offence but whats the point?

I think it ruins the whole look of the sleeper image and ultimately serves no purpose?

Wasn't having a dig at you personally. I just see on all forums at the moment the craze with 'carbon fibre' everything. like Wing mirrors covered in carbon fibre , or bits of dash carbon fibre.

I get the 'look' is to look racery, afterall M3 CSL's have carbon fibre roofs which is and some supercars are completely made out of carbon fibre to reduce weight. But I can't see how a single piece of plastic dash replaced by carbon piece will save much weight at all.

Then when people aren't even using carbon fibre, but instead just covering the plastic in carbon fibre skin - you just think 'why?' - you're not even getting the benefits of something being carbon fibre. Why make it look carbon fibre?

If you want to do parts of the car with it then that's cool just don't understand the point, obviously it's just for looks so
