You can now tax a car by phone mate, there are no excuses im afraid, unless you have the use of trade plates

Which have to be used by employees of the garage, so you can't legally do that either.

Tax it by phone, you're still not gonna have a tax disk to display, so still not legal

I am doing an experiment at the mo. I have no tax disc holder, disc is on the floor.
I have driven my car since 4th Jan with no tax on display, past numerous coppers. Not one has even looked at me.

tbh, we had a Primera last year, never had a tax disc holder just sat it on the dash, often fell off, never had any police attention we were driving that for about 7-8 months

this is because the anpr thing that the coppers have in there cars reads number plates your car is still going to be show as taxed even tho its on the floor. they can give a a fine for it tho.
tbh mate ide drive it home if your insured and have mot if you get stoped explane ur situation and that ur going to get tax asap they will either let u of or give u a 60 quid fine. if they wanted to be shitty they can impound the car
