well after you have just used your sat nav to get you 300 miles away from your house to somewhere you have never been before then i think its perfectly acceptable to not know your way home i store it as a friends address instead of home.. sorted then

You wouldn't know your way home if you were lost though and it's like a one touch feature on some to calculate and show your current position a route to your preprogrammed home destination.

id say the middle of town or the outskirts of your town would be a wiser move, instead of a friends house, or ur own.

This is my point though, you only need to send yourself to the city, for example I type "liverpool > City centre" follow it till I know where I am and turn it off, no need to have your home address in it. But then again I dont think anyone whos just robbed your sat nav is too bothered about where you live, if they wanted to screw a house surely they would do one they know has got a bit in it rather than on a whim cause the sat nav says so Just my thoughts.

Thats the point I was making, but I was also saying theres no need to have your home address typed into a sat nav.

I've heard of sat navs being stolen out of cars where owners have left them stuck to the windscreen and also being stupiud enough to leave a set of house keys in the car as well. Simple then for the thief, he knows where you live, knows your not in and has your front door key . W4nkers car thiefs, feckin w4nkers!

No worries about home, wasn't taken from my car, so no keys about, and only work addresses stored in it.
