My mate has just been round in his Punto and he has a set of classic styled number plates. He said its perfectly legal too but i wasnt too sure . So are they legal or what

A Police Officer drove past, observed the plates and continued

if they are the black and white one's..

they are not legal for post 70-something car's

theyre illegal.. rule of thumb for this kind of stuff is if the car was originally registered with them as standard then they are ok if not then theyre illegal

i had these on my corsa for a bit n got pulled over eventualy ,just got told to take them off but got no fine and copper thought they looked good but where illegal
