Getting much tougher, not a bad thing imo but the super centres won't be close to everyone and will cause delays. I'd get mine done now or soon if your thinking about it.
I passed mine before the law changed last time with the 2 year restriction on power.

Well done nugget. Now you've passed you can actually start to learn to ride a bike (not just jump on and get a-b).
Will send you a web link, but will highly advise a sensible new rider to go for an SV650S (Non S is different). Your sensible, its a great bike, and you can get lots of little bikes to make it custom to you. Its not all that quick top end, but accerlates hard enough to make you think. Its also forgiving enough when you go wrong.
Being a twin, it needs a little "blip" of the throttle between down gearchanges. Its a wet clutch and wont slide straight in as twins de-accelerate (engine braking) quite fast.
Great little bike, loved my old Curvy. So much so (still got it) im thinking of turning into a track bike to show up all the weekend warriors on their SS600's........
Someone with no sense will go out an buy a SS600 as a first bike.

Nice one man, did mine when I was 17 and loved having a bike, I'll go back to them at somepoint.
Buy leathers and a decent lid before getting a bike.

Agreed.
Getting full 1 piece leathers will also allow you onto a track day, of which you will want to do once you've had more time on a bike and done some rideouts. Get them now.
I went the long route and have everything but a 1 piece (and leather jacket) A purchase to be made when some decent funds are available.
My friend wanted a SS600 as his first bike, I went all moody on him and told him otherwise. After a few talks with other people, he went for an SV and agrees it was the best choice for him. He will move onto a SS600 when he can afford it.
