Well the missus was doing my head in, the sun was out and my car had been freshly "detailed" so I took the Tuscan up over the Cat and Fiddle! Great drive out not been up there for ages, well recommended loads of cars up there (F430, couple of Porsche turbos, Lotus Esprit, Evos, Scoobs) as well as the usual bikes! Even put the action cam in the window too so will upload the vids when I've edited them!

There is a pub at the top of the pass called the Cat & Fiddle
It's also a fooking dangerous road. Was the worst in the country for deaths a couple of years ago. But, it's my fave road
Although, I think that the A54?? From the cat and fiddle to congleton is far worse to drive down.

Steve,
The pub along the road is called the Cat and Fiddle; the road runs between Macclesfield and Buxton alongside the Goyt Valley/

It is an awesome road though......stunning views, stunning corners and some parts you can see right down the valley so you can use all the road (not endorsed at all by Dean_W )

in fairness 95% of deaths on that road are Motorcyclists not car drivers

Worse ways to go!
To be fair the TVR is a bit of a handful on that type of road, you dont get that much speed up really! It would still sting if you did crash tho!

Anyone mind pointing this out on a route on Google maps? It's near-ish to my neck of the woods, so wouldn't mind a tootle along their if it's not too far .

awesome road, went up there for a VXON meet last year.
IIRC they sometimes use helicopters to catch people speeding on this road

Cheers matey!!!
Yeah, to be fair the Tuscan struggles a bit sometimes on the tighter corners, loads of fun tho! I reckon a well sorted hot hatch would be quick round there!
