Do you need to be insured on their car to sit in with them? Or is it just the 3 years/over 21 rule that applies?

I believe you don't need to be insured, just the provisional driver

You don't need to be but you might be well advised to be able to drive home if the learner can't do it.

A friend failed her test earlier in the week and the next avaliable test at the local test centre is April. There are some avalible in Rhyl (where i took my test) in a couple of weeks so ive offered to sit with her while she drives around and familiarises herself with Rhyl. Tbh colin that comment hasnt helped

You need loads and loads of patience.
Helps if you know what is required to pass as well as most likely if you have been driving for a bit you won't wholly agree with what the instructor has taught her.

I sat with my brother a few times, that was my patience tested to the limit
She almost passed earlier in the week, got a major against her for leaving her indicator on too long

Patience isnt the word, id tell her to take a turn & she'd do the exact opposite to what I asked
Take the next left.
NO - its too busy down there.
See what im up against
