Very quickly. I use to be able to get a full blown cold develop within 2 hours of getting a scratchy throat feeling. However it would pass pretty quickly and be gone within 24 hours. Depends on all kinds of factors. Still can't believe they have not cured the common cold with all the advances in medical science.

i seen this morning though that they have finally managed to make mice contract the cold therefore should be able to make a breakthrough to finding a cure
