Fully comp although it'd take a LOT to make me claim, I had a crash last year, and managed to sort it myself, I actually decided unless it was gonna cost over about £1500 I wasn't gonna claim. £520 excess, plus lose 2 years ncb, and get raped for the next 3 years on premiums, not for me thanks

My insurance is under 400 quid, excess i don't know but say 300, if my car was worth more than that, which it is, it makes sense to me to be fully comp.

If your car is worth a few hundred quid and fully comp costs significantly more than tpft then thats fair enough.

I wouldn't go up to a few grand though.

As soon as your car is worth more than the policy+excess costs it's stupid do do anythng but, or am i missing something here?

as you are only paying like £400 for fully comp thats understandable. but when insurance for me TPFT on a 1.2 corsa at the min would still be like £1500, fully comp is a ridiculous price so untill it drops below £800 FC or ive got a car worth more than like 5K im not guna pay for fully comp

The 3 premiums I've paid upto now are £1750, £890, £550. First one was the cheapest I could find think there was only one other quote that I got that was under 2 grand. Got lucky tho and they gave me 2 years ncb after a years driving, so second premium was a nice surprise

TPFT because I wouldn't claim if I bent my own car and no-one was hurt, so there's no gain in having FC cover.

Unless the car was over a certain value I guess.
