Don't think so
IIRC you don't need a passport to fly within the EU, only a driving license or something
will probably take longer but you don't 'need' one

Northern Ireland is part of the UK, so it's no different than going to Scotland.
The UK hasn't signed up to the Schengen agreement, so we still need our passports to travel within the EU. Most other member countries don't, though.

James is right.
Although to be on the safe side I would always take a form of picture ID with me.

You need a brain. Which in asking this question you have failed the test for and are not allowed to enter.

Theoretically you can move between countries within the EU with only photographic ID, airlines can refuse based on their own personal guidelines though so i'd always take my passport regardless. Ryanair still want a passport to go to Northern Ireland or at least they did not so long ago.

just found this

You do need a passport if your are a British or Irish Citizen (which I am guessing you are one) and wish to fly to any EU country. This does not apply to other EU nationals who can travel on ID cards between countries, we of course do not have such a card yet.
Although you technically need a passport for domestic flights in reality, for security reasons, you do need photo ID and there are strict limitations on what form this ID should take. A passport is of course accepted. Having seen people bounced off domestic flights because they lack this (as well as people being refused permission to travel to Europe) I follow a simple rule for now - if flying carry passport.
Hope this confirms, I work for the UK Immigration Service though am of course speaking independently.
