managed to obtain some info on the bike. apparently it's a 1948 BSA Bandam D1 earliest model! the engine has a whopping 4bhp and can reach the astonishing speed of 45mph! (i guess i found something slower than my 1.2 8v).. it won't be used much anyway. probably as much as the cortina.... and thats talking less than 30miles a year!!

Cool, my dad's got a BSA Goldstar 500 (he used to also have a 350).

It originally came home in a box of bits like that haha... bought it so cheap, built it up and now worth a lot!

This was like the 'bike to have' in the days of mods and rockers hah.

Always get people going 'wow I always wanted one of these'.

He's also got a harley and a honda. But the Goldstar is the one that draws the crowds. Plus noisey as hell.

After a couple of months i thought i would give you an update on what has been going on with the bike. we now have almost all parts. the paint was stripped and undercoat has been given. still got a couple of months work till it's finished.
