It's nasty stuff, I hit that stuff without so much as a warning and it was a couple of inches deep in places, as said inbetween car tyre paths or to the center of the road. Just a change of pants needed rather than a new fairing, lid, leather etc...

Theres some corners near where I live that we call 'nine houses'
A sharp right, lined with a brick wall, a slight left with a hedge and another sharp right with houses along the left hand side.
There are accidents on this bend quite often, i'd say 2-3 a month in winter. Mostly involving the hedge, wall or the front gardens.
Council shut the road for resurfacing......yee haa.....here comes the shellgrip Oh no ......they decided to tar it, and then lay stones on that. Thing is, the severity of the bends has led to all the stones coming off and now it's just tar.
Dangerous as fook!!

The road I live on was like that for about a year, It was really smooth and level and in the car it was totally silent, no road noise at all
as soon as it pissed down though it was leathal was even slippy under foot in some rain never mind a tiny bike tyre
