car got broken into last week and cd player got taken.
since then ive got tints, and am getting a toad alarm installed on monday.
If anyone has a toad alarm, is it worth getting proxmity sensors??
anyway, ive got enough money left over to get another cd player (currently using tape player)
or get a nice custom backbox.
not sure which one to do...

i discussed this with the guy who fitted mine, said since i park in a carpark at college it will be forever going off espically since the spaces are really small, so i dint get it, he did fit dual shock sensor for free which is quite good, i mean its quite fancy when they bleep at someone stood to close but i bet you get lots of false alarms

I wouldn't bother with a proximity tbh mate, can attract attention to the car.
Sorry to hear about the break in

i have the microwave and proximity sensors on my toad ai606. it beeps 5 times whenever someone walks near the car (within a metre or so).
very good piece of kit but bad if you always are in car parks

that's what i was worried about.
someone on crack or something might hear the beep and think there is something valuable in there.

Lad has a saxo near my gf and he has a proximity on that, my exhaust sometimes sets the alarm off. Seems he is trying to get his own back but I don't have a proximity on mine
On a serious note, if some drunk ass walks past it and wouldn't have normally paid any attention, the proximity beep might just change that.....

on small impact it beeps three times on big or second impact it goes off just a warning, but you can adjust the senitviity (sp) i have mine realy senstive so if someone knocks it, it will bark, i got mine for free as i knew the guy, most people charge 25 quid which imo is worth it

sounds good.
is the sensitivity hard to adjust? or do you just ask the person who's installing to do it?
