I was reading the manual to my my car yesterday. Yes I was that bored.

but it has a service that if I crash it has an inbuilt phone and someone from head office rings me and checks if I am ok and if i need help sending to my location.

Almost tempted to crash to see if it works but is there anything similar in the UK.

http://www.onstar.com/us_english/jsp/index.jsp is the closest thing I can find to it.

Its a cool little feature that I can see being standard in the next 10 years.

Not a bad idea, but only if it only does it with a certain severity of crash, if it does it for little traffic light bumps, it's silly.

Reading the book it needs to have the airbags set off.

It also ring up at say 3.00am in the morning if you are dirving in a weird location time etc and asks for a passcode otherwise it brings the car to a stop.
