Is the engine actually repairable? Mileage?

I'd say about £500 - £800. Probably less though.

Yeah but it needs new valves(all 16) and a new crank.Pistons are fine and its just had new big end shells too.

Mileage is 146k but was rebuilt under vaux warrenty at 45k due to a similar problem.

Not bad mileage really, can't complain at that. But I would pay around £3-400 as said already. Considering the work/money it'd take to put a new engine in.

Depends on the condition of the shell (rust /B pillar cracks etc) really. It would be ideal for a cheap 2.0 conversion, but then I wouldn't want to do that to a car with near enough 150k on the clock.

I recon in the £200-400 region, depending on how much you want rid, and how much the buyer cares about the mods.

Small crack in driver side b pillar and small bit of rust on the boot lock surround, apart from that there is no other rust at all!Its in above average condition for its age and mileage just wont drive!!!

Personally I'd try and get whatever you can for it mate. The most viable option money wise is to drop an engine in it yourself and run it for a while longer .
