He's is obviously not right in the head to start with.

Although he was obviously capable of murder at the time,

I seriously don't understand WTF else he was intending to do by jumping?

He said "I didn't mean to hurt the kids" or something of that nature...

Seriously, what? How can you jump off a balcony and mean them no harm?

He needs to be in more than a psychiatric unit for therapy, more like a secure mental hospital forever.

there is no doubt in my mind that the guy wanted to kills himself and his 2 children purely to hurt his wife. granted the guy must be fucked in the head to come up with that plan but he should still be sent down for murder.

That is a sickening verdict. I am however glad he never died, as he now has to live with his actions for the rest of his days.

i dont know how any parent could even contemplate doing such a thing to their own child, regardless of their state of mind. As Eck said he's got to live with with what he did for the rest of his life, I personally hope he develops some rare illness and dies a slow and painful death.

I couldn't agree more. You could never justify what he did, but the fact that he has to live with it for the rest of his life is a worse punishment than prison could ever be...

i think its unfair to judge someone who u dont know. no one has also mentioned the fact that both his brothers comitted suicide, he obviously has psychological issues and wasnt thinking straight.

im not saying what he did was right but he has shown remorse and clearly regrets what he did. i feel sorry for the bugger.
