Graeme, 7x16s would go on the Golf, you'd need 20mm spacers all round and some stretch, but they'd fit

Id be interested in a set for the clio in 17 inch with a 4x100 stud pattern, but the clio needs a 60mm centre bore, which is a few mm large than a vauxhall fitment wheel.
