Im sorry if this is a re-post but i've only just found out the new Norris EVO Spec for 2008

New spec is as below;

Long rod ND 94mm stroker engine (950Hp)
HKS Le Mans inlet manifold
Longitudinal Engine Position
Top mount GT42R
Skyline Front Diff
Skyline Rear Diff
Skyline Transfer Box (Uprated By Sumo Poweer)
Holinger Double Overdrive RD6 Sequential Gearbox
New aero package to assist with Time attack

All major shell fab being done by Hauser as we speak.


Not much EVO IX Left on it now.... but who cares, its going to be Awesome

So they've turned the engine 90 degrees so it doesn't pull all over the place when it launches?

That's one way round it

Yep basically, and using the Skyline bits means much more reliability (hence one of the reason Martin went that route on the Reyland Cossie IIRC)

as you have all said, (and i put on here a little while ago ) the skyline stuff is for relability and the fact clutch options should be better

going to be intresting

didnt simpson build up the car orginally

He's even hinted at Drifting due to it now having selectable RWD/4WD. And he can now do a proper RWD Burnout before a 1/4mile run.... Unlike his old 4WD burnouts that nearly put him into the barriers on more than one occasion

This years Time Attack should be interesting...
