Well, some of us went. It DIDN'T rain, the Pod WAS open and it WASN'T busy. Each time people went, they waited on average 15 minutes I'd say. So better than the last one. Only 2 forums seem to meet in big numbers, an MR2 one and Clio one.

Me and Fonz met in Bedford. CorsaCF followed shortly, then by Fro, Gav, Pickford and some others

Fonz took his 12v up, and Chris (CorsaCF) did the 1.2 8v I'll let them tell the times etc. Wish I had gone against Fonz now, would have been interesting

Pics to follow tomorrow probably.

Oh, some rich boys turned up. E39 M5, Ferrari 430 (I think), Lambo Gallardo, and few Porsche's. All went well, except the Gallardo which seemed to drop something from the gearbox. It was doing 23mph over the line. The guy (typical image conscious young rich guy, probably doesn't know how to drive it, otherwise how do you break a Lambo 'box?) looked REALLY pissed off. His pride was dented more than the car though.

We laughed

Also, new M5 went up. Got shockingly bad starts. SMG's are shit. E39 M5 beat the Ferrari. Undoubtedly due to easy start with the manual 'box.

Thoughs that are thinking of going next Sunday - I really hope it doesn't rain

There weren't any problems on the strip at all. There was never the funny tractor out with the rubber trailing behind. The only hold up was a Clio which stopped about half way up, had to be towed. Pretty sure it was running again.

C00RSA - do you drive a red SRi with colour coded bumpers but not arches?

Robin - there was a MK2 Golf, in white, which was pretty damn quick. Some kind of turbo engine.

Pics being uploaded Ben.

Some pics were on my phone. The others on Lily's. It decided to give a dodgey exposure and make everything look blue. There is one on the strip, taken by her phone that is right. Weird.

Me and Fonz on arrival

And again

Fro and Pickford's mate - really nice Corsa C 1.8

Chris (CorsaCF) against an MR2

Chris and a standard Colt.

Fro and MR2

2 Porsches. Both were autos I think. Floooor it. Super fast, were Turbo's.

And again

Subaru Impreza hatch was mint

Proper exposure image. Ferrari and M5.

Chris and Civic

Fro and Corsa C again

Ferrari and M5 again

Lone ranger

Fro and a Porsche

Whaaaaatttt?

More pictures in my garage. I took quite a few on Fro's camera - his cable is at work Fonz took a fair few as well

What made me laugh about the rich guys with the supercars, is that they could hardly drive them. Really poor starts tbh. I also blame dodgey flappy padle gear boxes as well.

Well most run Paddle clutches so they will be hard to launch unless they use the car daily which I bet your bottom dollar they dont.

Parking supercars is a pretty special sight as well

Videos

Pete and a MR2. 12v doesn't look too bad tbh.

Fro and Pickford. Pretty sure Fro got him at the end.

Ferrari and the Lambo. You might here it back fire or do something, then die. Still had drive though. Probably like get home safe mode or something/

That was after we left then he was getting better as the day went on. Bet the engine needed a good thrashing though as it was out of a car when he bought it.
