I hit one in my corsa and snapped my coilover and bent the lower arm, I had pictures of all the damage and the pothole.

I had to pay insurance on my dads car for a few months until mine was fixed

I had no luck claiming any of that back

I hit a pothole that just dammaged my alloys (x2). Got a quote from Motorsport wheels from leeds with tyres even though they weren't damaged and they paid out. Never came out to look at the car.

If you go to them and ask how your claim is going, they'll say what claim, your not on the system. You say that you came in at the beginning of november, they gave you a form to fill in, which you have and posted it off. Now your getting fed up of waiting, your wheels are badly damaged.

Up the que you go and next thing you know your being paid out full.

Thats what i did

Its not the shell garage on the A8 at Baillieston by any chance is it? My mate from work did his alloy there last night on his way home. And the pot hole has been there for over a week now!

My mum works for the local councill in Dumfries and they get 100s of claims for pot holes damaging cars and she reckons the majority of people who claim get a payout.

Best of luck anyways
