Me and DaveK1 ventured down to Southampton today for my car to be remapped.

Car is now running EDS stage 2 software making full use of the exhaust and intercooler on my car and my god does it go! Unfortantly no RR results as their dyno got flooded

Anyway here's some pics courtesy of Dave from today, shows off my intercooler and the springs i had fitted the other day

Pic of Regals track spec'd mk5 golf

And lastly a couple of pics of Daves new friend. I have never seen 2 things bond so well, from now on Dave shall be known as........."Dr. Dolittle"

Was a good day out and well worth the 220 mile round trip. Thanks to Dave for keeping me company and taking the pics (and vids )

The joys of Regal!!

Hopefully they used a Wideband AFR on a road test, to give them an idea on the best way to make it det

bloke in the background wasnt with me no, think he has a signum?

cost me £355 as part of the end of year offers

was just a software upload, not a live map

Rich- they said the airflow meter and lambda was giving very healthy readings (i know they are as i checked them myself the other day).

i know alot of people dont rate regal but they proved me wrong today and gave me a good service

mike- it's a massive difference! dont bother with stage 1, get an intercooler and go straight to stage 2

I had Arno & co map mine at EDS, he used wideband and monitored pretty much every sensor on the engine, messed around on his laptop creating me the best possible map and power graph we were both happy with

surely the best opion would be a live map on the rollers or a live on the road with a wide band 02 sensor??

a generic map isnt suited 100% to your car, its alot of money for a generic map isnt it? would execpt a live map for that sort of dollar

I'd say paying £550 for revo on a VAG 1.8T is a lot of money for a generic map!
You need a front mount intercooler and full exhaust for the map i have, it's not some "yeh that will do map" The maps have been uploaded to hundreds of cars with no problem and see good results
