I was going to ask about the process of the day, i.e. how the car is actually driven on the rollers, but everythings been answer

Also totd dont let the car on with a little health check befor it goes on the rollers, they check oil, tire pressure and a few other bits. also next to the building the is some where to park the cars for a little photo shoot.

 I'd check my oil before leaving as it is quite a long run down for us, and tyre pressures as always will most probably bring 1 litre of oil with me

its my job to be bringing the oil  
Although after going topping mine up at santa pod and giving it death all day and driving homes its still fine

Apparently so wasnt smokey at all on the strip either.
Might do a"how to stop your car burning oil" tutorial.
1. Fill said car with oil to the correct level
2. Do aprox 25 death runs at santapod
3. Drive home 100 miles like a nob
4. Sit back and enjoy

Forget a certain piece on the rocker cover, to burn off excess shite in the engine. May be that did the trick?!

oh yer that was an intentional part of the process
Took me fecking ages to clean the engine bay after that, used it as a good excuse to attack my airbox with a hammer and drill though

Not really. Only like when you give it some. If it breaks, it is in the best possible hands they won't red line it anyway, if the power is beginning to drop if my thinking is right.
i.e. 12v GLS' have clocks that go around to 6krpm red line. There is no power past 5krpm really.

well usually they do hit the limiter deano, and the air flow across the engine isnt suitable really, it doesnt go it much good tbh

They'll be able to tell if the engine is running right or not though.
I'm 99.9% sure the graph doesn't just appear, i.e. it plots it as it goes up the rev range. Which means, that if your engine isn't healthy, they'll notice.
That is my take on it anyway

yeh but i you see the total vauxhall features they say its running too lean/too rich etc, thats after its been run, i dont really see much point in it really, its likely to be inaccurate imo, the only time i would do it would be to get the hp at the fly and the bp from the wheels and find out how much im loosing to friction, however there is really not much point when youve got 45bp off the shelf

I'm doing it to see how much BHP my car has lost, if any. It's completely standard, so will be a good benchmark for other cars. If it reads 60bhp, we'll know it's wrong
Plus I don't understand this on the fly at the wheel shizzle, so I'll believe the piece of paper that is put in front of me.

power at the flywheel is the true amount of power you have from the engine, power at the wheels which i imagine is what the read out will say is how much goes to the wheels, this will be different from the fly due to frictional losses from gearbox etc etc

Long as the car is warm and healthy hitting the limiter wont matter anyway as thats what its there for.
No different to accelerating hard on the road tbh

i never said i was clearly right, its just from many people i have heard a rolling road isnt really accurate thats all, hence why i wouldnt use one
