No but you can send a standing order into their account

EG, they owe £120

You call your bank with their sort code and account number and send a one off transfer

I can't really see the problem if I wanted to pay someone money off the account with my debit card to help a freind out.

jodi, do you have online banking?


if not register it only takes 2 mins..

and you can transfer money etc there easily enough

Yeah I have online banking but was going to ring them and pay it off on my card, get it done straight away.

Thing is its not my card its a freinds so I can not register with the cards online banking.

Robbo is must be DPA, you can give the account holders details to them fair enough but for them to accept payment they must in some way confirm over the phone it is going to that account so it would be a breach

Best way is to send a transfer, then get the person to call in a few days for confirmation it has been rec'd

But how is that different to paying it from an account online?
