im a bit disheartened tonight, i have spent all day trying to get the red paint back to its former glory.
i washed the car thoroughly with turtle wax nanotex shampoo, T-cut the entire car, then megs carnauba on top of it (after the t-cut was buffed obv)
it looked great and it had pretty much come back, but i have just taken it out in the the dark and it looks like its faded again.
any ideas? how much t-cut can be aplied before you damage the paint?
really looking for help here guys, please dont reccomend using a mop as there too expensive lol.

well, after a few times of doing similar to mine it seems to hold it for longer. joys of having a red car. I was bought a car buffer for xmas, so I'm waiting for a nice day to t-cut by hand and so some extreme waxing.
I also found clay baring seems to help.

get it into a body shop and get it mopped
that includes a special g3 rubbing compound and applying it with a buffing pad on a grinder
will bring it back to brand new
just keep ontop of it when its done!

just ask one of the lads in the body work area if they do it.
If not there are plenty of places around that could do it for you. For 60-75 they would even come to your house to do it

Mine went pretty pink and faded, it even felt rough to touch.
Gave it a wash with warm soapy water, dried it off, got some Mer Polish, applied that by hand with a damp cloth, rubbed it in, let it dry a little, then buffed it off, the car looked great. Gotta do it again now though, got some wax aswell to try and keep the shine.

also after you have had it buffed, give it a really good polish and waxing to get rid of the awirls left by the buffer
