[Rant]
Earlier this year in May, was out walking with a mate who i hadnt seen in years at a local beauty spot late one June evening.. We set off when it was still daylight were away from my car (parked in car park on its own) for about 30-40mins, i didnt keep track of time..
As i approached my car there was a police officer younger than me looking around my car with a torch.
To cut a long story short, they accused me of having no insurance as it didnt come up on their obviously outdated and useless system, i was spoken down to in a really really crappy manor by the female officer accompanying him. Using such phrases as when asked what i was doing out in the dark?! (is it a crime to go out at night?!) And also when asked who my insurance was with i said Adrian Flux she said shed never heard of them and i musnt have insurance 
Didnt have documents on me, so got a producer...
10am next morning, popped into local police station and produced my documents. I asked if anything else was required of me they said no thanks and bye.
ALl done forgotten about.
December i recieve a court summons for DRIVING WITH NO INSURANCE  
As i had commited no such offence i contacted local police station and told them to sort it. They made a fuss about it like i was asking alot of them (!) and eventually got a phonecall that evening saying they had found my documents (no apology btw) and forwarded them on and i needed to ring the court...
Rang the court who then played pass the buck with my case to about 7 different people who were out the office, unavailible and of the upmost unhelpfullness..
Eventually after 11days of chasing they finally said it had been cancelled and i didnt need to go to court as i had not commited any offence other than being outside after dark it would seem. Received a letter confirming i did NOT have to go to court etc on the 17/12
Received a letter today saying i am being fined £375 for driving with no insurance
FOR F**K SAKE!!!! 
Obviously i am going to get it sorted, but can anyone tell me who or what i should complain to for this gross waste of my time and the courts time??

you have the letter saying your ok. Dont pay the fee, just keeping ingnoring untill police are at your door then show them the letter!
Was that the astra gsi?

shocking...
i was following a cop car the other night all over the road, speeding and no indicating!!! (all this with no blue lights etc...)
I would have been raped for that!!

You should go to a newspaper or something...they would love to print your story! It would get the neg press required for the police to actually sort it for once & for all. Might even make some coin

South wales police were using their black evo8 fq-340? yesterday for a sting.
it doesnt matter if its a paper-work error, they shouldnt be doing it and if i were u i wouldn't show much in the way of curtousy for the police at all, gotta go to court if there saying tho, play by their rules just enough to not get done for contempt of court.
