Fancying getting an ibiza cupra next year and looking at spending £6k at the most on one.
Was looking at insurance today for being 19 with 1 years ncb. Cheapest price was £2k fully comp. Was hoping to be around the £1500 or slightly more. What does everyone else pay for similar cars?

'Third Party, Fire & Theft adds cover for repairs to your car or compensation of its value if it's damaged or written off as a result of a fire or being stolen. Only worth considering for old cars whose value is marginally higher than the premium cost. '
thats why!

I used to go tpft on all my cars if worth less than £4k, I decided that was my threshold & anything above I would put FC. If I smashed my car it was my own fault for being a dick & id be prepared to lose the car.
Quite glad Id changed the golf to FC 4 weeks before I smashed it of id be faced with a £5k bill.

I just find fully comp at my age a total joke , and am not prepared to wait till the age of 25 to get something half decent with a bit of poke about it. Economically yes it's daft but my daily driving and use of the car means to me that if I do have a smash it wont cost me the value of the car - light damage ( I hope)
If not , Im fucked

i guess it just depends on your circumstances...
if you can afford to buy another car in replacement, surely you could afford fully comp... thats all i'm saying.
(p.s. drive carefully mate)
