I was planning on an epic roadtrip round the USA and Canada for 2009......
I've concluded that my heart is in Australia. This year i'll be saving, next year i'm going back out there for a year this time.
Watch this space.
Ben.

This will be the 3rd time now. 7 Months in total on 2 previous visit.
Seriously can't keep away from the place.
I know people there at the minute travelling and working and i'm just sooo jealous that i'm not there.

One of my mates moved to Aus and as stated above with everybody else, he loves it and wishes he went out sooner. Laughs at me for living in shitty England while he is living it up in Aus..Bastard.
My Dad wants me to move out there and carry on my plumbing work there..I'd love to but I think i'd just be lost..Wouldn't know what to do with myself

i love the idea of career break.......but where do people get the money?
im well up for it next year. wanted to do it this year but cant see it happening now. need to start getting a good saving behind me.
is that all people do though? use their savings, or take on random jobs when they are out there to make ends meet?

Probably because you can't get any further away from Britain.
I'd been think about going there and just driving. See how much I can see in a month, but its far too big for that. Still want to see Sydney/Cairns/New Zealand too if possible.
