Is there camera out there under 100quid that can do these types of photo...Eg a digi cam

Its easy to change once you have a suitable camera, but a bit pointless explaining before you've got one.

Just a matter of fiddling with the settings to leave the shutter open for longer (shutter speed).

100 ISO 8 - 15 secs shutter speed at f 2.8 i use

thats what i use for the long exposures

im not experienced enough to tell you over then net the settings to use to take normal snaps in the dark

im still just playing

a high ISO is needed, longish shutter speed and I mess with the appature

its all practice, they never turn out perfect first time

For long exp you should be using the lowest iso possible. Aperture should be dependent on the DOF you want and also if it is still quite light bump it up to around f16-22.

The amount of time you need to expose the photo will be dependent on the light where you are shooting, theres no one setting for everything

yep they were taken with the s6500fd, they are pretty much how they came from camera but i did use photoshop to crop etc.

You can get the Fuji s6500fd for around £150 now. I think i paid £155 last year from Jessops using a discount voucher also.

These look amazing. Can you do it with any digital camera or does it need to be an expensive one?

Needs to have adjustible shutter speeds ISO and apature, depends what you call expensive

can get a decent one for £150, dont be fooled by how many mega pixels a camera has, it doesnt make them better the more mega pixels they have
