As many of you will know, California has been battered by a trio of Pacific storms for the last couple of days, Cars and Coffee was therefore always in doubt.

At 6:30 this morning it was not actually raining here, so I decided to make my way to the meeting place to see if anyone else had actually made it.

Amazingly a few people made it.

This was the scene as I arrived - normally at 7AM this is busy with hypercars, hotrods and people !

Driving around to the Corral, I parked up and found that there was a small, but certainly hard-core group admiring the cars and the tenacity of those that where here....

obviously dressing for the occasions was necessary

Rare in the US S5

Late arrival

So that was it - not really enough for a full Cars and Coffee post, but really the meeting was a lot of fun, I was able to meet the 'organizers' and chat with them and owners of all of the cars, for once the pressure to get a decent level of event coverage was 'off' . There are more shots in the archive - as usual cncpics.com, but that is a very good taster of the 'event' this morning.

As I drove home I figured that it would be nice to do a retrospective look back on 2007 - something that I was thinking of doing regardless of the weather, once more Don jumped to my rescue and cam up with 'Don's Pics of the Litter - Archives.'

So - you have Don's selection down to June and then the real old stuff are a few of my personal favourite cars and photographs to round it all off.

Enjoy !

Well done for braving the weather and all else who did also.

Wheels on the low rider are SO small

M8B

Metropolitan is just mad, as is the brilliant bar stool.

AMG Merc and M1 are simply lovely and utter show stoppers but the white QV Countach is for me now, always has been and always will be the best looking car ever built. Nothing has presence like it. Or the sound. Or the effect it has on people.

Incidentally, is the 260Z finished in grey primer?

Oh, and I have a soft spot for that nice clean looking 190 Cosworth as it has the same wheels as my RS.

Good find
