the sum if you want to check is:

300miles divided by 40mpg equal 7.5 gallons

7.5 gallons times 4.55 litres equals 34.12 litres

34.12 litres times £1.03 equals £35.45

i based it on 37mpg so it was half way in between your range.... and i got £37.40
