......when it comes to monthly installments
they are the cheapest insurer for my BMW @ £594.73 for me, plus my dads insured fully comp and I can protect my 6 years NCB for £6 included in that price
great I think, so I ring up, and if I pay it monthly it works out a total of £821.74
thats £227 in interest on £594 per year!
= 39%APR and now that are 6th on my list of cheapest quotes
Thats a rip off

Don't pay monthly then? They're all awful on monthly APR, doesn't matter who you are with.

You could even find some that do it for 12 months I should think, if not 9!

I'd rather borrow the money off mum/dad/mates/aunt etc... then pay any apr on the installments. I've always paid outright for insurance on both cars and bikes. I'd rather have extra payment in my back pocket.

am having same problem , but ievery year when i pay full up, when i swop my car they shaft me or wont insure it and give me pittance back, so this year ill pay monthly and just stop paying if i swop car. Do you have to keep paying for the 12 months?

Yeah better borrowing from other sources. 39% is particularly bad but they're all comparably uncompetitive.

i pay £40 extra at the moment to pay monthly
refuse to pay in one go as if I buy another car they wont insure me on I loose a LOT if I get a refund
