I have the XE's renewal coming up next month, and will be looking to insure it on a Fully Comp policy next year (It's currently TPFT with a £1k value).

Reasons being i've spent over £3k on it this year alone with the engine conversion and paint. So Is it reasonable to ask the insurance company to value it at that much? (£3000) Fully Comp? I'll be doing less miles this year too, because I use other cars

Or will they giggle down the phone and tell me that they can insure it for £700?

Just tell them price of each item on the agreeded value form!

Its so that you could make the same car again if the worst happened so as long as your not going silly they should value it for that!

to insure it with agreed value it costs more, and you have to provide extra stuff like photos and receipts before they will do it

wil HIC they charge £14 i think to do teh agreed value and obviously the price of the policy might go up.

When i was going to renew the Euro corsa with them and everything declared and then when i put an agreed value of £7500 on top the premium didnt change so may be worth asking them!

There is a difference between what you put on the form as "value" and having an agreed value with the insurance company.

Flux have been spot on with mine, with the engine conversion and mods. You should be able to get a 'club' discount via one of the forums. Only tell them about the discount after they have quoted you, just so you know how much you save. Think I only got £20 off, but it was still 7.5% of the value of the premium. Not bad really.

Brentacre: £940 TPFT

Greenlight: E-mailed everything, but you have to be 21.

HIC: Easy to speak to!! £906 so far with unlimited mileage. Plus £15 for Agreed vauations.

Use the websites dude.

Flux is 08700 777888

Brent: 01792 650933

Flux just smashed a quote with 735353 TPFT and 1100.85 Comp. Not agreed vals though, mods replaced on a like-for-like basis.

Hmm...

Was looking for Comp when I started, but the quotes were a bit riduculous. And I don't plan on claiming
