next year if the corsa is finished i will be doing a handful of these and i want to know what is best prepping methods, and what people actually do on a trackday in terms of preperation. i have a 2.0 16v corsa which is the car in question.
for example the answers im looking for are, and whatever anyone else can suggest
do people change the oil if so how many times, is this before the day or do you change it during the day itself to keep the oil fresh.
do people use any treatments for the engine/petrol.
what checks do people carry out on the car, do you take spare brakes pads and if so what else do you take along with you etc etc etc
any help appreciated,
carl.

As above for the brakes but as for the oil, i'm changing mine every 5k at the mo. When it becomes a pure track day car i'll change it every 1k. That'll do about 10 track days. But it's not set in stone.

ive never taken brake pads or discs, i always take a few tools, bit of oil and some good quality brake fluid. I change the oil before i go, whenever i have time really, i wouldnt do a trackday without braided brake lines, qulaity fluid and some good pads. If you havent guessed the weak point i found with my corsa was the brakes overheating and going spongey

Must be a pretty funky spec if your changing oil every 5k? on Lisas evo you have to change that every 5k, costs a fortune!

If you get through a set of front tyres, your rears won't be too decent either.
A spare set of wheels all round would be a good idea.
I also wouldn't advise running 2 grippy tyres and 2 normal tyres, that'sasking for trouble.
Either do all 4 grippy ones, or all 4 normal, definitely don't mix them though.

take oil, water and brake fuid at least.... all other fluid if you can - gearbox/difs, coolant etc
We take pads, tyres, pumps, jump leads, tow ropes, stands, jack, loads of tools
TIE WRAPS!!!! and DUCK TAPE!!!
Just check all fuids before going...
We change the oil in the skyline prob every 500 miles
