Motor Vehicle Work.
Lighting Regulations and Circuits
1. Identify 5 reasons for lighting systems on a vehicle.
2. State the main statutory regulations relating to:
- Side lamps
- Colour of light emission
- Lens and reflectors condition
- Reversing lamps
- Use of lamps
3. Identify and name the lamps and reflectors fitted to road vehicle lighting systems. For example: Headlamps etc.
4. Draw a basic side and tail lamp circuit that includes any fuses, relays etc.
5. Draw a basic headlamp circuit and include fuses and relays.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Standard bayonet tail buls are 566
Interiour courtesy festoon bulbs are often 269 and a typical dashboard bulb is a 286.

Lighting Regulations and Circuits
1. Identify 5 reasons for lighting systems on a vehicle.
1. So the driver can see where they are going - obvious safety notes
2. So other road users can anticipate a drivers moves (directional lamps i.e orange flashers)
3. So the rear numberplate can be seen by the authorities at night
4. So other road users are aware of a vehicles braking (stop lights)
5. So the user of a vehicle is able to see instruments and dials i.e what speed they are doing etc...
just elabourate on those points
