Was hoping for a little bit more but can't really be too dissapointed with 260bhp. Need to get a sports cat fitted now as that's the main restriction at the moment. Was a fun drive home, gonna have to get used to getting the power down.
Was going to go for stage 4 but couldn't on standard clutch, so will probably jump for EDS 3.5 in the new year once the clutch is on, and also chuck in an inlet cam so the car should break the magic 300bhp mark.
It's bloody hard typing when pissed. Seems like it's taking ages to type this

Courtenay tell you the standard cat was holding you back? They normaly give some excuse when they're work doesn't meet the said figures!
Why spend all that money on mapping though, just to wait a couple of months and have it mapped somewhere else?

I didn't pay for a map. I already had stage 2, but as the turbo was on the way out I had the vxr turbo fitted. The upgrade to CS3 just cost an hours dyno time (£70).

Cool that aint too bad then Is that the same with any map upgrade, you just pay for dyno time?

No. Would have had to pay for CS4 but apparently the CS3 map is based on the CS2 map so was just configurated whilst on the dyno.

Interesting... I thought the main diffs between the LET and LEH were the bottom end cooling (Oil spray bars), balancing (Removal of balancer shafts), turbo and injectors. A VXR with the same spec as yours (Re-map, Full system and front mount) would be hitting near 300 brake - any ideas on the other differences?

Stronger pistons and rods. Dont think vxr lump has the balancer shafts removed though?

standard i would agree, just nippy not overly impressive, i think the z20let standard map is really poor, thoguth same with the vx220turbo, comes on boost to like 11psi then drops to 7psi when ur getting somewhere, with re mad i think will become fast!

I was very dissapointed with the acceleration when I first got the car. I was used to a mapped coupe turbo so it felt really slow. Now the bus feels faster than the coupe. Can't wait to get it to the Pod in the new year to see what it can do!
Spent roughly £4500 on the bus, around £2800 on engine including exhaust.
