So I popped into Uni about an hour ago, and on my way back some prick in a white van tried to pull some shit.
the story unfolded like this:
so I turn into a road full of speed bumps and kids around so take the 1st bump steady, out of no where a white van drives up behind me virtually half a foot off the back end, by then I'd gained a bit of speed from the previous bump and had no choice but to tap my break for the next bump.
The van driver then proceeds to pull down beside me and attempts to overtake on a housing estate road, not only that but the road had cars either side. he wasn't going to fit so I put my foot down to get ahead of him. I was fearing for the fact there was kids about and I was approaching a car on the left hand side parked with not enough room to get past. I get to a junction at the end of the road with the van driver behind me.
By now I'm concentrating on the road with a bit of adrenaline pumping through me and he proceeds to gesture to my mate in the back to pull over. Like hell I was so I then lost him by pulling into a side-street.
Previous to all this I saw him in my rear view mirror and he was driving normal. Luckily he didn't scrape my car when he tried to overtake me. But I did nothing to provoke him.

I was doing the speed limit and just pulled onto the road and he comes blasting up behind me. I mean I push the speed limit some times, but never drive under it.

I woulda stopped and let him go, i always do with road humps as I have to go slow over them.

Poeple always overtake me when i'm going down a road with speed bumps  Either that or they sit on my arse. If they wanna overtake then i just let them.

what I don't get is why the fuck he was on my ass for no apparent reason then tries to overtake on a road where it wasnt appropriate to do so & near a school. I don't drive slow I know I don't.

Just slow down to a snails pace. Can't over-take. Whats he going to do? Ram you? In which case, mate on the phone to the police. Stop dead. Then by the time they get out to start a row, police already on their way.

yea, I guess. It was just unreasonable to be that close to me when Im doing the speed limit.
I reckon he wanted to fight me cos he was being aggressive and telling me to pull over through my mate.

yea he probably was, people get annyoyed by boy racers going at a snails pace over bumps.
the highway code also states if someone is going to over take let them and slow down.

I had a works van right up my arse today in a housing estate where i had to go over about 11 speed bumps..To say he was getting annoyed at every bump when i slowed right down is an understatement

I always get people right up my back side when going over speed bumps. and also get people over taking me. Its stupid some of the risks people take to over take you though. as most roads with speed bumps are built up so they have to drive on the wrong side of the road and quickly pull infont of me then slow down again for the next speed bump.just for you to stoll up behind them when you get to the bottom of the road anyway. now i just speed up so they have to brake and pull in behind me. just because i like to see impatient cunts get really pissed off.over something so small.they should chillax a bit.
