Oke so today i woke up, open'd my curtains to find some C**T had spray painted a line down my passenger side ... So i set about with a rubbing compound and luckily enough its all come off.

I've had enough of random things goin off outside my house + To my car so im going to invest in some CCTV.

Has any1 got an recommendations ? Basically my window over looks my car about 10m away i would say..

Thanks

Needs to film in colour if you want to prosecute IIRC, otherwise wont be any use for pressing charges.

You'd also be best investing in an outside light + sensor as will increase the filming quality over a shitty night vision type one.

Ebay is probably your best bet (unless you go to a specialist company to do it), and link it to your PC as will save you the hassle of having to buy the recording equipment too.

I think that to be able to use the video as evidence, you also need a sign up saying CCTV is in operation, otherwise it maybe insubmissable.

You still need a sign for private property afaik, John will shed more light on it but he was trying to use it to catch some bams out the front of his house and was told he couldn't.

we had a company come in to fit it all in ours after having the cars fucked over a few times, they advised on what was needed for prosecution and didnt mention the need of a sign.

For the sake of a couple of quid, and the added deterrence factor, its probably worth doing anyway though

Police weren't interested in mine in general.

I have night vision cameras that can see almost as good as they can in the daylight/with a bright light, they cost 200+ each though.

i work for a cctv company if your just after a small screen recorder and one camera your best bet is probably buying a cheap 7" flatscreen off ebuyer or something i know we got them for like £35 looks half decent too. You then wont a pretty good day/night camera probably with IR's if it gets pretty dark outside probably 70ish then a Recorder with hard drive which would be 200ish mb less. We have some units at work that are really small about the size of a CD Drive looks really nice and are half decent units as well. Then you would just need to run a bit of cable from ya camera into the recorder and another bit into your monitor....
