Iv actully got a dig a hole in my garden tomorrow as my 15 year old golden retreiver is getting put down, feel for you mate. (then iv got to view a bloody house)

what type of dog was it

Really sorry to hear that mate, I was devastated when my dog passed away nearly 14months ago now and I still miss her like mad, she was 15 too.

He was a cross labrador/collie had him since I was 10. His name was Scruffy.

He was put down this morning. Was for the best though as he wasn't happy. Vet said he had liver and kidney failure. But you are right 15 years is a good age.

Well if you go by dog years (7-1) he would have been about 107!

My staffy is a big part of my life shes only 2 but I know one day she will be gone.

Im sure your dog had a great life and was very much loved.

sorry to hear it mate, I have also been in the same situation!

Did the vets come round and put him down?

My stepmums old dog was 13 and had quite a few tumas which were constantly causing him pain... I had to carry his body out after the injection

No we took him to the vets. He had absolutely no medical problems (that we know of) up until now, just old age I think.
