i have 264 cams on standard timing in the new build.havn't really had a chance to test them as its not even run in yet due to MOTgayness and so on but they make the engine sound bloody nice

how much is it to port and polish a cylinder head?

how much gains roughly would you see from a port n polished head, cams and verniers (maybe a remap) on a C20LET?

mine new cost £450+vat, scott had a 9bhp gain am i right with it, which is pretty good for a NA car

for a c20let a head is £450+vat on exchange, its very hard to saywhat gains your going to get, but an xe inlet cam and 1 vernier is a good start, look in total vauxhall for the guide we did

Is the rest of the engine standard?

If so, I wouldn't bother with cams. Sort out the inlet first. Otherwise your pissin in the wind really.
