Recently ive been colecting all the reciepts of things that ive done to my car as a record of the amount that ive spent so far and in the future will no doubt be adding to it.

ive always kept like old mot's and tax discs of the car before but never really kept recepts or so on,

Does anyone else keep a portfolio of there car or isit just me

i also think that this will appeal to any future buyers as know its been well looked after and no expence spared on the car.

post pics of your portfolios or collection of reciepts if you have any so i can have some more inspiration on how to organise my collection better

cheers scott

I've got three folders worth from all my cars.

The GSi came with almost one folder worth on its own so I've kept that up.

Every reciept etc, MOT, Insurance, Tax Disc, Service.

Anything that I get for the car goes into a file, nice to keep a check on things also keep a spreadsheet on the money been spent on it!

That was possibly a bad idea though

I dont spend money on my cars, only petrol, I usually sell them before MOT time, in 3 and a half years of driving ive bought 2 tyres and had about 10 cars, ive never put a car through an MOT lol

I pass the folders onto new owner - I'd probably commit suicide if I saw how much I've spent on cars over the past 8 years

I've got every tax disc from 1988, every reciept from when the bloke before me owned it, and every reciept which I've had since it's been mine.

The only thing I'm missing are older MOTs, I've got about 4/5, not 21.

I've not before, but have started doing this for the Zafira. Looking through all the receipts the other day I have already spent over £4k on the Zafira so makes me about what else I could of bought for £14k! Never mind, these things happen when you have 4 kids.
