AX GT, remember getting absolutly wasted by one, 3 up, in my 1.4 16v. Donna had one as a first car, was mega dissapointed with her GSi as it was no faster.

But.....

I also saw one loose a wheel hub on southend seafront, went flying into a bench on the path and shot up a goof few meters in the air. He was lucky, the bench stopped him from plouging into the sea... He was doing about 20-25mph...

NExt few hours were comical, police, tow trucks, meanwhile cruisers still driving round, parping and laughing. Poor bloke, him and his missis were VERY lucky though.. Imagine loosing a front wheel on a 3 stud alloy car on the motorway!!!!!!

i think where you said 3 stud alloy car at the end made me think of wheel studs, if the hub snapped off what difference does it make if its a 3 stud alloy wheel?

I remember my mate reversed mine off the drive with passenger door open. It caught the gate and bent the door RIGHT back The worst built car I have ever seen, makes a Renault 5 look like a german tank!

AX GT's are faster than GSi's, they rev freely and handle like the most wonderful thing ever.
