="MAD YUM"]As most of you know my new box let go

Went into Marks today and with dean we pulled the box out

This is what we found after speaking to Martin

As you can see the rear output shalft has snapped we think it a defect and waiting to have this confirmed

Hopefully if that the case then it will be going back in and will be returning back to Brunters with PF to see how it goes

That definitely looks like a defect rather than too much power, it's too clean a break I reckon.

My pals wife sheared a drive shaft on their 1360cc AX tarmac rally car, it looks exactly like the one pictured above

Even my 106 is capable of twisting drive driveshafts.

ah right- i just put 2 and 2 together and got 10 with thinking - escort, big bhp and brunters, always seems to be Hadland in them stories. lol

Does Mark from MA still have that split mint Black Sierra RS500 that was his first test bed for the Autronic management?

Btw, the FIRST sign is when you trash a new set of gearbox bearings and the friction plate of an AP paddle clutch in a little over 3k miles.

A Poppy Coral thing for the RS and lots of things for the old man for Chrimbo that say Meguiars, Zymol or Autoglym on them.

Thought it was gonna be 50 or 60 quid.

Nearly hit the bloke when he told me the price.

Because i've wanted one since I was an apprentice, it was there, I'm quite ill, it was cheaper than a gearbox and my Feu Orange one obscures one of the gauges.

I can hide the new one somewhere else around the dash and stick the Feu in the Pug.

I might just pop it in the Merc actually as the RS bizarrely still smells like a new car with overtones of oil, fuel, octane booster and burnt metal/rubber which makes for a pleasing cocktail.
