they appear to be differnet on the loom from an sri and the loom on the 1.2 shell

the top pic looks like the sensor from the cam/timing pulley from the top of the engine to me

nay, its not that thats plugged in. this is down low near the rack

What colour wires?
Looks like the engine to car loom connector for the alternator/starter solenoid and oil pressure sensor.
