i called the number on the back and i was advised to write in to explain the situation.. well im abit stuck on what to put, ive told them why im writing, and what the facts are (attached copy of both ticket and penalty) but now i need to tell them what to do.. but i wanna tell them in a nice manor.

here is what i have so far.

21 November, 2007

Dear Sir or Madam:

I’m writing to inform you that on the 17th November 2007 a fixed penalty notice was handed to me due to my vehicle not displaying a valid parking ticket. I have enclosed with this letter a photocopy of the valid parking ticket and of the fixed penalty notice.

As you can see from the photocopy my vehicle did have a valid parking ticket on the day in question and was displayed in a clear manor on the dashboard with the details clearly displayed.

Taking the above information in consideration please revoke the penalty charge in question.

p.s stop being stingy c u n t s and stop taking the piss!

Sincerely

me.

after the 2nd paragraph im just guessing.

not sure why you started another thread for the same subject/problem:

http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=395366&pid=5152308#pid5152308

As said in that thread is it a local run council car park or a private company? As the answer to that question will greatly change the action to take....

I would add that you wish the person who issued the ticket to be asked why they could not see the parking ticket, clearly displayed and purchased, and why they issued the ticket without looking. Then go onto public confidence in traffic wardens, meeting quotas yadder blah.

I'd also ask for a written apology from the ticket issuer.

But im a pedantic old fart, whinge moan ROAARRRR feel my warth.

this happened to me once I put the ticket on the dash upside down PMSL. took a photocopy of the ticket and sent them the original (they would not accept a photocopy) although TBF you are ment to display the ticket properly so upside down or fallen off does constitute improperly lol

for you clearly a case of the person not looking properly. these things do happen and there is no big deal since you are in the right. send letter off being polite and you'll not have to pay the fine, no need for being a twat
