There is a circlip to the rear of the spindle, pop it off with 2 flat head screwdrivers as an internal circlip tool doesn't fit down the back, or at least mine didn't!

or get a bit of rag under the handle, to the spindle and move it back and forth while trying to pull backwards...the rag will catch the edges of the clip, and will pop it out enough to grab hold of it!! (does this make any sense?!)

As said above really, get a bit of rag (something like cleaning cloth or something) and slide it behind the winder, then move back and forth. - the aim of this is to try and snag the retaining clip so it pings off out of place
BE WARNED :- try to watch where it goes so you dont lose it
Then just slide the winder off when putting the clip back, use something like a flat bladed screwdriver and gently push the clip till you feel/hear it click back into place
