Looks nasty, not sure a seat belt would have saved him? but people who don't wear them are bloody stupid.

yeah i know what you mean, but it might have. can't turn back time but it is a shame.
it isn't even 'COOL' to not wear a seatbelt, so i don't know why people don't wear them

ooooft
No seatbelt - obviously doesnt have the annoying 'no-seatbelt' warning chime the lesser audi models have thats enough to make anyone belt up

Not always the safest option, which I can prove with 4 people who are still alive, who were told they wouldn't be if they'd been wearing them.
Looks like it would have saved the person in the Audi though.

This is true. My brother crashed his Supra into a ditch, hit a tree stump and the car done cartwheels, a fence post went through the drivers side window, if he hadnt of been thrown into the back seat due to lack of seatbelt, who knows?

my mate left his work and didnt put his seatbelt on as he was filthy,
his car got a blowout on a corner and flipped over, he got thrown to the passenger side of the car and the drivers side got crushed,
pilice/ambulance tld him if he had his belt on he'd be dead
on the whole they work, but there certain situations,....
in the case of the R8, thats minced

My brothers mate once rolled his old fiesta with 3 other people in the car, none of them wearing seatbelts, they clearly a fence and landed upside down but they all got out not badly injured. Thats just luck though. Dont understand why you would ever drive without a seatbelt on, id feel naked without one on.

Well, My dad often forgets until further on down the road. I've asked him why he doesnt put it on when he gets in.
He told me that when he learned to drive it wasn't compulsory to wear one, and wasn't made law for many years. Hence the lack of habit.

My mum never wears hers either, they never used to be adjustable and cut across her shoulder so she's never worn one really.
She now hates to be 'strapped to the seat' so still doesn't wear it, much to my concerns.

I saw Road Wars once and they stopped this guy who wasn't wearing a seatbelt and his excuse was that he got scared when he wears it. Nobend.

it's down to luck whether you die or not in an accident at the end of the day. but more often then not a seatbelt will save your life.
think people should remember this especially as the roads are getting shitty this time of year.
do you only get a fine for not wearing a belt? or is it points aswell?

Whys he a Knobhed for not wearing one for being scared?
I was in an accident about two years ago,in my mates astra where he swerved to avoid a fox we where sent hurtling off the road and we ended up in like a pond/lake thing, upside down, the car was filling with water and my seatbelt wouldnt come undone,i totally shit myself never screamed so much before...now if that wouldnt scare the shit out off you i dont know what will. lucky my mate stayed with me to help free the seatbelt otherwise i could off drown.his astra was only a year old (before someone says old cars etc) thats why i dont wear seatbelts.im just lucky police never catch me without it lol

I can prove that 4000000000000 people have suvived crashes because they were wearing belts. Designers and engineers spend a hell of a lo of time making cars safe, then people don't do the simple thing of belting up. Your nailing your own coffin shut.

my car was completly empty of all my belongings, i found my phone, amp and service book scatterd in my path of destruction
