Basically my cars got a custom paint job that was done by Ultimate-Velocity for their demo car - its a purple/blue "deception" pearl with flake (their description), now they are asking for £100 for a litre of base colour & £200 for the top coat, does this seem an alright price or having a laugh?? I mean for a custom colour again, if not I will have to try and get it matched!

are UV suppling it?
if they are i suspect they are marking it up quite high.
Do your own thing be much better than using the same colour

why not paint it a diffrent colour something fresh and diffrent? but £300 seems cheap.

They are supplying it because they mixed & craeted the colour originally! I dont want a dif color want it how it was when it was first finished, well he said £450 when I rang him about a month ago lol but now hes saying £300!

they will be marking it up, but if you want the same colour your gunna have to bite the bullet and shell out on that amount.

I pay £30 a litre for base but thats OE colours, nothing fancy.

My standard Vauxhall paint alone was £47 per litre..
Donnas paint on D5 was about £200 per litre...
The multi-flip stunning colour from TVR is about £900 per litre.
And the more expensive the paint, usually the more is needed as well....
But knowing Ultimate Volocity (they still trading), they will bend you over and lube you up big time.
They've got a lot of asian homies too.... (i dunno the asain group name )

Muppet you said you liked my corsa before  and people - can we get back to my paint please - UV tend to f**k around so yes it will be more but will it be more than if I go to a place & try and get them to do a custom mix to match it?

Im not keen on D5 visually nope, i love the colour, and love individual parts, but not keen on a lot of things. Donna knows this, but of course, you do too, as you seem to know oh so much about the car.
I said what the paint cost per litre.. RRP. Thats all you need to know, and its amsusing watching you blabber on about something you clearly know nothing about.
Get back to putting a cam cover on in the dark with some sand in it or something.
And whether I like a corsa is down to opinion, if the jobs done well. I don't just slander anything willy nilly like you do. I have some respect and morals... Read up what both mean. It'll be near arrogence in your dictionary

I would go for something different....
Maybe a similar colour if you like it but so so so many colour choices out there you will be able to get something similar for less than UV.
Or take it to your local paint suplier and try get them to match the paint,

The whole idea is when I 1st saw the car I wanted it soo much, that now ive got it I just want it to be when I 1st saw it so yes it might not be original to get it the same colour, but I want it how it was when I first saw it!

is it called deception??? sure i seen that on ebay and is supllied by company called specalist paints????
if so try getting in contact with them and say wot car u have, they will surely know the car and be able to get you the same match u require but with out the middle man of uv???
how much paint are u buying also?
is that quoting for litre of base and litre of the pearl flip deception?
u havinf full re spray?? or just touch up areas that need it?

sorry just read the amounts of paint!
basecaot should be 50 tops! deception flip is 150 per litre if its same as specalist paints stuff which it looks like to me, similar to my orange/greeny corsa, that was post box red with liquid gold deception over the top
