Hi all, was driving in to work today and all was well, then after pulling away at some traffic lights my car got very loud and felt as if it had no power (not that ti ha much anyway being a 1993 1.5 diesel)
anyway it got really loud and was very shakey, everything was rattling inside it was that bad, does anyone have any idea what it could be, I'm going to take it to the garage and dinner time just wondering if its gonna cost me an arm and a leg

just had it loked at there at the garage and my engine has fallen out, its catching on something on the right hand side too.

apparently the bolts that hold it in place have totally sheered off, is this the mount you mentioned?

well it was my uncles garage and he just told me what was wrong but its a family friend that a bought the car from who's gonna fix it for me.
Whats so funny like?

hahaha oh right, well i dont know much about cars like, only the basic maintanance like oil and water and stuff. its not like its fallen out totally and is left on a road somewhere, i couldnt tell when he popped the bonnet.
apparently this is catching on somehting dont now what it is but he said to drive slowly on the way home or it could smash my engine to pieces whatever it is

i had the same problem with my previous corsa, right hand side of the engine fell. Meaning the allternator pulley was rubbing agaist the shell. Some crap work by the previous owner

Just a new mount and fitting..... as long as nothing else is damaged.

yep..i got my jack out...jacked the engine back up, fitted a new mount and lower the jack to posision
